The
Vision 2000 process involved detailed review of the products by
the appropriate Committees. This
process was somewhat cumbersome for the vendors to prepare the
documentation on an annual basis.
In addition, as new products were launched, the process
slowed acceptance by the members and often resulted in a longer
launch phase for the ADC members.
Based
upon input from the members, the vendors and the Merchandise
Committee, we introduced a new program for the 2005 year.
The new program is designed to simplify the process for the
vendors and rather than focus on individual products, will focus
on the vendor partners. We
will emphasize the relationship with the company based upon the
value they bring to the ADC members.
This new program will be our VIP:
VALUE IN PARTNERSHIP. We
will look to our vendors that provide true value to our members.
This value can be in rebate incentives, exclusive
promotions, pricing advantages, NDC warehouse opportunities,
private label products and/or limited distribution philosophies.
A VIP vendor will provide one or more of the above
incentives to the ADC members to be recognized by the Committee.
The VIP vendors will be recognized through our annual
contracts and communicated to the membership.
VIP vendors will be invited to participate in our Forum
Meeting, our Vendor only website and other communication vehicles.
Equipment programs will continue to have "Ratings" by product category, however, we will continue to value those companies that provide incentives to the ADC Members as stated above. We encourage
manufacturers' input in this process and look for your participation.
